Suzuki Swift
The Suzuki Swift is a super-mini ranging in price from £8,995 to £12,250. There are three petrol engine options of 1.3, 1.5 and 1.6 litre for the Swift Sport model. A diesel engine is also available for the 1.3 litre DDiS.
The 1.3 litre petrol will do 0 to 60 mph in 11 seconds with a maximum speed of 109 mph. Fuel consumption on the 1.3 DDiS is a reasonable 49.6 mpg in urban conditions, 69 mpg for non urban driving and a combined rate of 61.4 mpg. The 1.5 litre petrol takes 10 seconds to achieve 0 to 60 mph while the 1.6 litre Swift Sport does the same in 8.9 seconds. The Sport matches its superior speed and performance with visually different features including a larger front bumper and a redesigned lower grille, along with 17 inch alloy wheels. Step inside to find sports seats plus a black and red trim. The rear has a more pronounced bumper with twin exhausts.
Each model of the Suzuki Swift comes with three different trim choices. The SZ2 has remote central locking, power front windows, electric door mirrors and a CD player with USB connection that can be controlled from the steering wheel. The SZ3 has additional alloy wheels and air conditioning. The SZ4 has the added extras of cruise control, climate control, keyless entry, Bluetooth and rear privacy glass.
Storage space on the Suzuki Swift is good and it drives well, but the car lacks refinement. It is a solid car without being spectacular to drive.
